Continence/Pelvic Pain

What do you treat?

At RehabVisions, our specially-trained women’s/men’s health Physical Therapists assess and treat a wide variety of conditions involving the musculature of the pelvic floor such as:

  • Pelvic floor disorders

  • Deconditioned pelvic floor

  • Orthopedic conditions of the hip and spine

  • Prenatal and postpartum periods

  • Urinary incontinence

  • Pelvic pain

  • Constipation/fecal incontinence

How are these types of conditions treated?

Our therapists start with an initial session lasting about an hour to conduct a careful assessment of your condition. The PT will then create a personalized treatment plan which may consist of a variety of treatment techniques including:

  • Biofeedback

  • Stretching and strengthening exercises

  • Soft tissue and joint mobilization

  • Core stability training

  • Postural correction

  • Individualized exercise program

  • Education regarding bladder irritants and urge-control strategies

  • Strategies to improve daily and work activities

We recognize that this may be a sensitive subject, but you aren’t alone. Incontinence is very common and very treatable. Contact us to discuss your challenges and learn more about how therapy can help you feel and function like yourself again.
