Meet Vanessa Hoff, PT.  As RehabVisions’ Pediatric Team Lead, Vanessa  is charged with overseeing the clinic’s team of therapists specializing in therapy for children from birth to late teens.

As a physical therapist, who is your typical pediatric patient?
I see a wide variety of diagnoses—everything from torticollis, plagiocephaly, developmental delays, toe-walking to Autism spectrum disorder.
How does a parent know if their child needs therapy?
A lot of times it’s kids not reaching developmental milestones. For instance, babies resisting tummy time or not sitting up by themselves or crawling by a certain number of months.
Can a parent call the clinic directly if they suspect issues?
Yes! Many insurance providers do not require a doctor’s order for therapy. Some do, but that’s something we help to determine when you call.
Do you only treat children?
No. I also specialize in treating people with Parkinson’s disease as well as balance training for older adults. My oldest patient to date was 102!
What do you do in your free time?
I spend time with my husband Levi, our son Liam, and our dog Roxi. We enjoy camping, going to the zoo, boating and spending time on the farm.
